NFT's have become more and more popular in the gaming industry, in this blog I will be informing you of this idea.

What is the hype in the NFT gaming community? Is it good for society? Is it safe?

Well in today's blog I will be going into brief detail into how NFT’s in gaming works.

My journey started a few weeks ago when I first heard about the metaverse and NFT’s in the gaming industry. In the beginning, the idea itself felt so foreign and unbelievable, as I was filled with so many questions I decided to start my research regarding this topic. I started with NFT's ( mentioned in “NFT’s!” blog) and then I dug into the gaming industry. I looked into games like #Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Far Cry and understood how they used NFT and how the public responded to this. While researching the gaming industry I found one idea to be unique and very interesting, and it was the idea of having game items available over a variety of games. For example, imagine if Call of Duty guns could be used in Assassin's Creed and vice versa, it would be incredible. This is possible because if a game utilized NFT’s, certain game items that were NFT’s could be used in other NFT based games. This is because if NFT’s are to be monetized and sold as NFT’s, they would have to be separate from the game - meaning it can be used in the game and outside the game. Therefore, in a sense, all the small games would become like one big main game. And for this reason, I believe this will bring an evolutionary change in the gaming industry and is a reason for the hype. However, the only issue with this idea is the fear and lack of security, with NFT’s, in general, are not exactly the safest, and for them to be put into a game, would be dangerous. And to this day there isn't a permanent solution to this however many companies are working toward this.

Going forward I want to look into the #User experience aspect of the blockchain in general and then specifically in gaming. I want to look into this because from personal experience and comments by many experts, navigating around the blockchain, in aspects of NFT’s and crypto is very dangerous and confusing. Therefore next week I would like to research this factor.
